From 2026, you will no longer be able to pay with iDEAL at Mokana Meubelen. Instead, you can easily switch to Wero, the new European payment system that will completely replace iDEAL. For everyone who buys furniture online from us, this means a modern, fast, and secure way to pay—simply through your own bank.
At Mokana, we will of course keep you informed of this change, so that you can continue to purchase your furniture with Wero just as easily and confidently as before.
What is Wero, and why is it replacing iDEAL?
For years, iDEAL has been the standard for secure payments in the Netherlands. But that will change in 2026. Major European banks, such as ING, Rabobank, and ABN AMRO, are jointly introducing Wero: a payment system that enables instant payments throughout Europe.
Wero is designed to be used not only in the Netherlands, but throughout Europe – also useful for those who order their furniture in Belgium or Germany.
The payment will work as you are used to: you select your bank, confirm in your own banking app, and your payment is completed immediately.
What does this mean for buying furniture at Mokana?
The ordering and payment process in our webshop will remain largely the same. You will no longer see the iDEAL button, but instead you can choose Wero. This allows you to pay for your order quickly and securely via your trusted banking environment.
