Who is Benoa?
Benoa is a Dutch furniture brand with years of experience in designing and manufacturing high-quality wooden furniture. What sets Benoa apart from many other brands is its combination of in-house production and an unwavering focus on sustainability. Every piece of furniture is crafted under strict quality controls, and each piece undergoes a meticulous, artisanal finish before it reaches the showroom.
Benoa has grown into a rapidly expanding brand with dealers throughout Europe. Most of the furniture is shipped directly from stock, ensuring short delivery times. In addition to home furnishings, Benoa also has an experienced project department with over 15 years of experience in large-scale interior design projects—ranging from retail and leisure to vacation resorts and the hospitality industry, both in the Netherlands and far beyond.
Sustainability as a core value: Trees for All partner
At Benoa, sustainability isn’t just part of the marketing pitch—it’s woven into the very fabric of every piece of furniture. Whenever possible, Benoa uses recycled and reclaimed wood, eliminating the need to cut down new trees. Recycled teak comes from demolished buildings, bridges, and ships, giving it a second life as high-quality furniture. In this way, Benoa actively reduces the pressure on tropical teak forests.
Where recycled wood isn’t available, Benoa offsets its environmental impact through its partnership with Trees for All —a Dutch organization that plants trees to combat global deforestation. Choosing Benoa is therefore not only a choice for beautiful furniture, but also for a greener future.
Benoa's materials: wood with a story
Benoa works with a selection of the most highly regarded sustainable wood species, each with its own unique character and appearance.
Recycled teak is the specialty on which Benoa has built its reputation. The wood—sourced from demolished structures—features a rich, expressive grain, varied color tones, and subtle traces of its past life. This makes every piece unique and authentic. The Bridge collection is a prime example of how Benoa transforms recycled teak into timeless home furnishings with character.
Benoa combines solid mango wood with black steel accents to create a bold industrial statement. Mango wood is durable, exceptionally hard, and has a warm golden-brown color that only gets more beautiful with age. The Novelle collection showcases this craftsmanship at its finest: mango wood and black steel in perfect harmony.
Suar wood is a tropical wood species with a natural, organic character and distinctive grain patterns. Benoa uses suar wood to create unique pieces such as the Suar bench —compact in size but with a powerful presence.
