Which layout works best for your living room?

There are three basic styles, and your choice depends on the size of your living room, how you use the space, and how many seating areas you need.

L-shaped corner sofa The most popular choice in the Netherlands. One long side plus a shorter chaise longue or longchair. Works well in living rooms starting at approximately 20 m² and automatically creates a defined seating area without the sofa dominating the entire space. U-shaped sofa
Three sides, maximum seating space. A U-shaped sofa is ideal for large living rooms, families, or anyone who likes to entertain guests. The open side leaves room for a coffee table or a walkway. Allow at least 3 by 3 meters of available space for a comfortable U-shaped arrangement.

Corner Sofa with Longchair or Chaise Longue A compromise between a straight sofa and a full U-shaped sofa. The reclining section offers wonderful comfort for those who like to stretch out while watching a movie or reading a book. More compact than a U-shaped sofa, yet more spacious than a standard L-shaped sofa without an extended side section. Ideal for living rooms ranging from 25 to 35 m².

Leather or fabric—which is the smarter choice?

This is the question we hear most often in our showroom. The honest answer: both materials have their own unique qualities, and the best choice depends on your lifestyle and interior design.

Leather Corner Sofa Leather is easy to wipe clean, lasts for decades, and only gets more beautiful with use. Choosing the right size — here's how

Buying a corner sofa without measuring is a common mistake. Follow these steps and you’ll be sure to get the right size:

1. Measure the available space —note the width and depth of the area where the sofa will go. Be sure to account for doors, radiators, and windows that open.
2. Leave enough space to walk around — allow at least 70 cm of clearance behind or next to the sofa, and 45 to 50 cm between the front of the sofa and the coffee table.
3. Choose the orientation —should the chaise longue be on the left or right (as viewed from the sofa)? Decide based on the position of your TV, window, or fireplace.
4. Keep the sofa's overall dimensions in mind —an average L-shaped sofa measures approximately 250 x 175 cm. Compact models start at around 220 x 145 cm. Large U-shaped sofas can measure up to 350 x 250 cm or more.
